This will be my 4th year as a teacher at Jusiss. I have spent the last two years in first grade. I am excited to grow my knowledge and learn even more from being a 4th-grade teacher. This is my second year in 4th grade.
I prefer students to be engaged, challenged, but with the instruction that is also tailored to the specific needs of my students. I believe in personal connections as bridges that allow for enhanced learning and student development. I also believe that parent-teacher communication is one of the most important parts of a child's education.
My love for teaching started 10 years ago when I was working at a local daycare as a two-year-old teacher. I worked at the daycare for four years before I made the decision to finish school and fulfill my dream of teaching. I started working at North Lamar ISD in 2014. I worked in the special education department for a year and then in Head Start for two years while completing my degree in education.
I have been married for 9 years this past July! My husband Michael is also a teacher at Sulpur Springs ISD . Michael has taught Skills USA and Automotive for the past 8 years. I have three “fur babies”, two dogs and one cat. Since I do not have children at the moment my pets are treated like my babies. I have a boxer/hound named Brinn (3 years old), a lab mix named Eddie (4 years old), and a beautiful cat named Riley (9 years old). When I am not at school or walking my dogs you will find me at the dirt track watching my husband race.
