Hello! Welcome to my page! I am Kayla Huff and I am so excited to be able to teach your child and have them in my class this year! I am a 2007 graduate of Roxton High School and I will forever be a proud Roxton Lion. I am also a 2009 graduate of Paris Junior College and a 2012 graduate of Texas A&M University-Commerce. I graduated with an associate’s degree and then a bachelor’s degree in general studies, but soon returned to school to fulfill my God-given purpose to teach. I completed the AMTRAC program through TAMU-C to obtain my certifications. I began teaching in 2013 in my hometown for Roxton ISD where I taught for two years. I also spent two years at Honey Grove ISD teaching middle school math. I am beginning my seventh year of teaching and third year here at Justiss Elementary. I am pumped up for another fantastic year! My passion is without a doubt --math! I have experience in every math level from 2nd to 9th grade algebra, with my favorite (so far) being 6th grade math! My goal is to teach your child to like math, but to love learning!
I have been married to my best friend, Dustin Huff, for 6 years! He is a firefighter for the City of Paris. We share an amazing son, Dayne, who will be 5 in December. We are expecting a daughter, Kaytin, in October! Dayne is our greatest adventure and we can’t wait to add Kaytin to our fun! My kids are my favorite thing to talk about! My free time is mostly spent at my church, Victory Baptist, where my husband and I assist leading the Revive youth group. When we are not at church, we are spending time with our extended family and friends—or if its summer, you’ll find us at the beach! :)
