I am Rae Dockery, and I have lived in Paris most of my life and attended Paris schools from grades one through twelve. (Go Wildcats!) I graduated from Texas A&M University, Commerce. I have taught in both Mesquite ISD and Paris ISD. During my 37 years of teaching, I have taught fifth grade, first grade, and second grade as a homeroom teacher. I have also taught specialized reading classes in grades K-5 before returning to college to earn a Reading Recovery certification. I have now taught Reading Recovery and literacy groups at Justiss Elementary for the past 23 years. I teach my students in room 115 on the west hallway. My Justiss phone number is 903-737-7458. The Justiss School Fax number is 903-737-7530. My campus email address is email@example.com. I can be reached during the school day by email, phone message, or a note sent to school with your child.
My husband, Steve, and I both grew up in Paris and love living here. We have twin daughters, Taylor and Jordan, who both graduated from Paris ISD and later Texas Christian University. (Go Frogs!) Taylor is a cardiac ICU nurse at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Ft. Worth, and Jordan is a pediatrician at Dell Children's Hospital in Austin.
I enjoy reading, traveling, visiting my daughters, and spending time with family and friends.
