Bilingual program-  Paris ISD currently provides bilingual instruction in Spanish and English to students identified by state criteria in grades prekindergarten through grade three and will add a bilingual class to subsequent grade levels until bilingual instruction has been implemented in grades prekindergarten through grade five.  Bilingual students receive instruction in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) in Spanish and English in language arts, reading, mathematics, science and social studies.  Music, physical education, health, and art are also part of the balanced curriculum.  Academic instruction begins in the students’ first language (Spanish) and transitions into
