About Teaching
I began my teaching career in Everman, Texas in a self-contained 3rd grade classroom and loved that age children. After a few years, I took a break from teaching having the opportunity to stay home with my children and then went back into the classroom. Before coming to Paris, I taught 6th grade Language Arts for six years and 6th grade Math for two years. God brought me full circle back to teaching 3rd grade Language Arts at Aikin Elementary. I taught two years at Aikin Elementary in first grade teaching math half day and Reading Recovery half day. In the 2015-2016 school year, I transferred to Justiss Elementary where I taught Reading Recovery and literacy groups. Currently, I am teach literacy and intervention groups. I love it here at Justiss! I consider teaching as my calling and am excited about this year!
