“Too Much GRIT To Quit”
Welcome:
My name is Nelisa Kelley and I am 1/2 of the bilingual flip team in 1st grade. I teach math, social studies, and science in English. Tabatha Ibarra teaches reading, language arts, and handwriting in Spanish. This is my 33rd year teaching, and the 2023-2024 school year will be my 25th year with Paris I.S.D. I am blessed to be an educator and I appreciate the opportunity to continue doing the job I love!

Personal:
I attended the University of Nevada at LasVegas, and graduated with a BS in Elementary Education in December of 1989. I received my ESL endorsement in April of 2003 and, my teaching experience includes pre-k, kindergarten, ESL for grades 1-5, and bilingual flip for 1st grade. I am blessed to have three daughters and three son-in-laws, Krysta and Ryan, Kassidy and Adrian, and Kinsey and Dakota. I am also a proud grandmother to Corrie 4½, Charlotte 2, and Axel 2! My children and grandchildren are my life and please know that I treat my students the way I would want my own children to be treated. I want my class to be a place to learn, grow, and build lasting friendships!
