We are better together in 1st grade!



My name is Nelisa Kelley and I am 1/2 of the bilingual flip team in 1st grade. I teach math, social studies, and science in English. Tabatha Ibarra teaches reading, language arts, and handwriting in Spanish. This is my 29th  year teaching, and the 2019-2020 school year will be my 21st year with Paris I.S.D. I am blessed to be an educator and I appreciate the opportunity to continue doing the job I love!

I attended the University of Nevada at LasVegas, and graduated with a BS in Elementary Education in December of 1989. I received my ESL endorsement in April of 2003 and, my teaching experience includes pre-k, kindergarten, ESL for grades 1-5, and bilingual flip for 1st grade.  I am blessed to have three healthy and active girls, and a precious son in law. Krysta and Ryan are campus missionaries with Chi Alpha and they work on the UTSA campus in San Antonio. Kassidy is using her criminal justice degree as a case worker at the Mack Alford Correctional Center in Atoka. Kinsey is attending the LPN program at Kiamichi in Hugo. The love of my family’s life right now is my grandaughter, Cornelia, she will be a year old in December and being a grandmother is wonderful!
